'Cellos for sale |
Though there is normally less choice for a 'cellist at any serious level than for
a comparable violinist, we still manage to keep a good selection of 'cellos available
in all price-brackets. |
These range from late nineteenth century German and Mirecourt French instruments, suitable for serious students of all ages, to the fine modern Italian makers such as Stefano Scarempella, Leandro Bisiach, Guiseppe Pedrazzini – first-rate for orchestral use. |
In between these price ranges, we normally have a selection of instruments – exceptional
value for the professional 'cellist or talented amateur – made in Italy,
France, Austria-Hungary and Germany such as Fratelli Fiori, Joseph Panormo, "old" William Forster, Joseph Hill, Charles
Boulangier, Pierre Hel, Franz Bohm, Mattias Neuner. |
We also have available for sale, every now and then, top class Italian 'Cellos from
the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries by makers such as J. B. Guadagnini and David Tecchler..... |
Above: a Beautiful violoncello by J. B. Guadagnini, Milan, 1755. This instrument, part of the Ealing Strings Collection, was previously sold by W.
E. Hill & Sons. Accompanying it are personal letters and documentation
that are of historical interest in their own right. Please click on
